Any normal person can take admission in the above course and minimum qualification is to pass the intermediate with 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC and ST). According to the decision given in the Gazette dated 23rd August 2010 of NCTE, this special educator course is equivalent to BTC (D.El.Ed.). Also as per the notification of CBSE dated 16th July 2020, every secondary and senior secondary schools should appoint special educators on full time basis.
